Planning a wedding is stressful, but planning a wedding around a hurricane is another story. We knew our wedding day wasn't going to look the way we originally planned; the rain and wind forced us inside, and many of our guests were not able to attend. But at the end of the day, surrounded by family and friends, we said "I do". Afterward we made our way toward beautiful Dilworth to spend the next couple days holed up in our new favorite AirBnB, The Cozy Cottage.
This treasure is located in the heart of Dilworth, within walking distance of Freedom Park, Ed's Tavern, Food Lion, South Boulevard, and many more restaurants and shops. The Cozy Cottage sits among a wonderful garden surrounded by abundant seating, a firepit, and a large grilling area.
Inside you'll find a spacious studio style cottage, equipped with a full kitchen, pull out couch, a queen size murphy bed, stacked washer and dryer, smart tv, and fireplace. But what really makes this cottage special is all of the extras that the hosts provide: wine, cold brew coffee and creamer options, a Keurig with several coffee choices, toothbrushes, soaps, tums, condiments, we could go on and on! From the time Jayne gave us a tour of the cottage, until the time we stepped out the door to leave, we felt welcomed and well cared for, never wanting for anything.
If you are ever in the Charlotte area, looking for a great getaway from the city, or simply looking for a staycation and a wonderful neighborhood to take long walks through, this is the place for you! Book with George and Jayne and tell them we sent you!
